Professor Patrick H.M. Loh is Chairman and Co-Founder of SINGAPORE SCIENCES and SINOAGRO GROUP. Professor Loh’s distinguished and illustrious career spanned more than two decades both in the academic and corporate world, where he is a professor, chairman and advisor in many institutions and organisations.
In 2023, Professor Loh was conferred the inaugural Honorary Professor in Perpetuity (life-long) title by the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS). The honorary title was awarded in recognition of Professor Loh’s outstanding and distinguished contributions to SUSS and for the leadership in advancing of the University on many fronts. The conferment of Professor in Perpetuity (life-long) title is especially significant as Professor Patrick Loh is the only senior SUSS faculty member to receive such an honour.
Professor Loh is also a Professor at Singapore University of Social Sciences’ College of Lifelong and Experiential Learning and the School of Science & Technology; as well as a Professor at WA State Agricultural & Biotechnology Centre, School of Agricultural Sciences, Crop Biotechnology Research Group - College of Environmental and Life Sciences at Murdoch University.
Board appointments include Advisory Board member at the Centre for Governance and Sustainability, National University of Singapore (NUS) School of Business; Board Director of Murdoch University in Singapore; and the Honorary Founding Member of College of Business, Murdoch Business School at Murdoch University; and Chairman, Science and Engineering Cluster in the School of Science & Technology at SUSS. In October 2021, he was appointed Research & Development Scientific Adviser at Panasonic Factory Solutions Asia-Pacific in Singapore. In 2022, he was appointed a Member of the Academic Council of Global Fintech Institute.
In addition to Professor Loh’s academic and corporate accomplishments, he is also a pioneering bio-entrepreneur as a practising plant scientist in Singapore, where he successfully establish the commercial application of biological and molecular techniques to plant and crop improvements in the agro-based industries in the ASEAN region.
In recognition of his leadership to the community, Professor Loh was conferred the Bintang Bakti Masyarakat (BBM – The Public Service Star) in 2006 and the Pingkat Bakti Masyarakat (PBM – The Public Service Medal) in 2001 by His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Singapore.

Mr P.F. Chang

Mr P.F. Chang graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering, Major in Bioengineering from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. Whilst reading for his Bachelor’s degree, he was one of the few undergraduates selected to join the Bioengineered & Applied Nanomaterials Laboratory in NTU to undertake drug formulation/delivery project pertaining to the investigation of ‘Protein Nanocages’.
In 2010, his breakthrough innovation in the nurturing of precious medicinal plants under controlled-environment was realised in Singapore. This discovery led to the scale-up development for achieving the most potent medicinal plant known in the market with compliance to the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) of Singapore’s Safety Standards. He went further to successfully developed Analytical and Quality Control Systems to optimise and quantify the consistency of active ingredients from the batches of raw medicinal plants nurtured at the production facilities located in Northeast China.
In 2010, he established his first agrobiotech company to produce and supply authenticated herbal materials to the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) corporations and nutraceutical industries in Singapore. In 2012, he formulated and obtained the necessary Chinese Proprietary Medicine (CPM) approval from the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) of Singapore for the first High Active Ingredient Certified-Organic Cordyceps capsule product (Grant of Patent/Trademark 2012, Singapore) in Singapore.
In 2015, Mr Chang becomes a qualified Member of the Asia Regulatory Professional Association (ARPA) in Singapore. In 2022, he was accepted as a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET) and has been awarded Chartered Engineer (CEng) by the Engineering Council in the United Kingdom. Mr Chang is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SINOAGRO GROUP.
Under the tutelage of Professor Patrick H.M. Loh, Mr Chang and the bio-pharmaceutical team have developed a novel nutritional medicine after 6 years of meticulous R&D studies using a breakthrough technology with a combination of proprietary extraction, purification and patented formulation methodologies which designed to reduce the organ ageing process and associated medical conditions (Grant of Patent/Trademark 2015 & 2022, Singapore). In March 2015, the Health Sciences Authority of Singapore (HSA) has granted its approval and is commercially available in Singapore.
In 2018, another novel nutritional medicine (Grant of Patent/Trademark 2018, Singapore) was developed through SINGAPORE SCIENCES' Clinical Studies & Advanced Development (CSAD) programme and the completion of its findings were accepted and published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Complementary Medicine & Alternative Healthcare (JCMAH) in USA.
Together with his cofounder at SINGAPORE SCIENCES, Mr Chang's cumulated experience has laid the foundation for the development of novel healthcare products in Singapore.
