LPR-1® Compound Protects The Organs From Lipid Peroxidation Damage
MARCH 5, 2015
A peer-reviewed journal published in the Experimental Gerontology in 2012 has evaluated a compound found in LPR-1® to have organ lipid peroxidation reduction protections.
The study was conducted on 3 groups of test subjects.
Analysis on lipid peroxidation biomarker- MDA in the homogenates of liver, kidneys, heart, and lungs from young and aged controls and treated aged test subject were evaluated.
With ageing, there was a significant increase in the MDA levels as compared to the young control test subjects.
Treatment of aged test subjects with the compound was found to lower the mean MDA concentration such that it was nearly the levels found in normal young test subjects, presumably by limiting lipid peroxidation in the liver, kidneys, heart, and lung.
In conclusion, considering the data obtained from various parameters, the study indicates that the administration of the compound protects the liver, kidneys, heart and lungs of aged test subjects by reducing the intensity of lipid peroxidation.
The compound is the primary active ingredient found in LPR-1® nutritional medicine.
